ROBIN DES BARS / ROBIN BOOZE
Short documentary, DV, 14 min
4/3, Color, French version only

"Robin Booze (Ronin des Bars)" is my first film, completed when I was still at University. It's full of imperfections, and made with clumsiness, but I like it as it is.

Gérard is the madman of the family. He's hard to meet, but is always at the center of conversations. He's known as a knife thrower, a poet, and a homeless. Some say he lives on an island off St Malo (his birthplace) in Brittany.

That year, I've decided I would meet him. But of course, he's impossible to find, so the search begins. The only clues I'm in possession wit, are an old poem written at the back of a photo and his nickname, the one given to him in the bars of St Malo : "Robin Booze".
